Projects

Ever since I was a young boy I have always had a fascination for nature.  I have vivid recollection of a book that was given to me one Christmas that described the work of Charles Darwin in the Galapagos islands.  The many illustrations and pictures of exotic animals and finches were poured over for many years until the book binding failed and fell apart.

When applied to my photography, this has translated into a love of nature photography.

Woodland

Inspired by the many woodlands in my area, particularly the Ashridge Estate, Wendover Woods, and the woods around Pulpit Hill and Whiteleaf.

Wales

Originally hailing from Llanelli, my heart is firmly planted in Wales.  The beautiful South West coast around Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Cardigan is a constant draw with its wildlife, craggy bays, and wild waters.

Landscape

Landscape was probably my first passion in photography as can be seen in my Woodland and Wales images.  This section covers other areas of interest.

Macro

It is all too easy to get so caught up in the huge vistas, woodlands and coast that the intricate details and patterns that can be found in nature can be missed.  It is so important to look down or deeper and marvel at the beauty and mechanics that the nature's supreme builders provide.

Bluebells

Undoubtedly bluebells are one of the most iconic sights of a British Spring.  In the Chilterns, we are blessed with several woodlands that are carpeted with these beautiful wildflowers.
